What is Group Life Insurance?

Group Life Insurance is an employee benefit that is offered by an employer, typically an associations or labor organization.
More often than not, Group Life Insurance is fairly inexpensive (sometimes even free for employees).

Group Life Insurance typically has lower coverage amounts than a traditional life insurance policy
and is always offered within a benefits package for employees or members.

How long does the coverage last?

Unlike a traditional life insurance policy you can obtain personally, a group life insurance policy is only valid for as long as the individual is part of the company or organization. When the individual leaves, the coverage discontinues.

Advantages of Group
Life Insurance

One of the main advantages for group life insurance is not having to do a health exam to obtain coverage. Anyone part of the company or organization can be added to the group life insurance plan if they desire.
